What is SSO and am I using it?

In this article we discuss what SSO is and how to know whether you are using it

What is SSO and how do I know whether I'm using SSO

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a login method that allows you to access multiple applications or services using one set of credentials (such as your work or Google account). Instead of entering separate usernames and passwords for different platforms, SSO enables you to sign in once and gain access to multiple services seamlessly.

How Do I Know If I’m Using SSO?

You may be using SSO if:
- You log in to a service using a Google, Microsoft, Apple, or company account.
- After signing in once, you can access multiple apps without entering your credentials again.
- Your organization has a central login page that directs you to various applications.

To check if you’re using SSO:

  1. Look at the login page – If you see options like "Sign in with Google", "Sign in with Microsoft", or your company's authentication portal, you're likely using SSO.
  2. Ask your IT team – If you’re using a company account, they can confirm whether SSO is enabled.
